What a brilliant fall day! This tree is behind our house and arches over our roof. I went in search of a sun star and I think I got one!

While I was out shooting this, a Kirby salesman making the neighborhood rounds spotted me and asked if I was shooting birds. I told him I was shooting sun stars. He looked up in the sky and asked what a sun star was. Hmmm...how does one explain that? I think I mumbled something about it being when the sun makes rays or beams in your photo. Then I got the Kirby spiel, which I nicely turned down.

This picture inspired me to really begin to work at learning more about photography.
